Choosing a style
Hoodie, Cardigan or Jacket? Choosing the Right Layer
Look beyond the outfit photo. Openings, coverage and the way a garment goes on can help you choose a more practical layer.
A good-looking outfit is only useful if it suits your dog's routine and proportions. Before choosing a colour, decide what kind of garment you want and how your Frenchie is comfortable getting dressed.
Everyday tops and hoodies: check the opening
In everyday tops and hoodies, compare pullovers with front-opening styles. A pullover must pass comfortably over the head and shoulders; a zip-up changes how you put it on, but still needs enough room through the chest.
Our Embroidered Zip-Up Hoodie is one example of a front-opening option. Check the hood's position and the fastening area during try-on. Neither should interfere with your dog's eyes or normal movement.
Sweaters and cardigans: compare structure, not just texture
A button cardigan and an overhead sweater can look similar in a photo yet feel different to put on. The V-Neck Button Cardigan, for example, has a front-button opening. Look at the neckline, sleeve length and space between fastenings as well as the overall size.
Browse sweaters and cardigans for the style you prefer. A knit appearance alone does not establish fibre content, warmth, stretch or washability; use confirmed item details and the garment label.
Jackets and vests: decide how much coverage you need
Compare sleeved jackets with sleeveless vests in jackets and vests. Check underarm space, back length and the belly opening. A padded appearance does not by itself establish waterproofing or a temperature rating.
Make the final choice in this order
- Choose the opening and coverage that suit your dressing routine.
- Compare your dog's measurements with that item's chart.
- Check confirmed material and care details.
- Then choose the colour or pattern you like.
